Barry M Gelly Nail Paint - Blueberry

Hi everyone!

I just painted my nails last night and the colour and formula of this nail polish is just to beautiful to pass up doing a blog post on! I purchased 3 new Barry M nail paints to add to my already full collection, as they were on 3 for 2 in Superdrug. Again I should point out, self-restraint is not my strong point! I bought 2 Gelly nail polishes in Blueberry and Lychee and also a standard nail paint in Lemon Ice Cream. I will be doing separate reviews on these next time  I wear them as I am certainly not impressed with one of them! But without further a do I will get on with this review.

I absolutely love the packaging of Barry M Nail Paints but I always feel, particularly with the Gelly formula, that to make application easier they should have a bigger, flatter brush. I am a massive fan of the No7 nail polish brushes and think this style of brush would definitely help to spread out the slightly thicker Gelly consistency of the Barry M polishes. I suppose that is my only major minus (love abit of Coldplay) about the new gel formula, you have to really make sure you spread it out otherwise you will end up with visible parts of your nail thicker than the other.

I can not however fault the colour of this nail polish! It's a beautiful cornflower blue and like nothing I have in my collection, which believe me is a hard task to achieve! Even as I type this I just can't stop staring at my nails in amazement (a regular occurrence I assure you)! My nails have been flaking and splitting a lot recently and I find the whole range of Gelly Nail Paints cover this really well. I should also mention this is 1 coat of Polish! I would normally do 2 but as I was to impatient to let them dry last night as I wanted to be up and dancing to Glee, I have easily managed with 1. Thank you Barry M! I also do not have a top coat on top of this polish and I find that with 2 coats and no top coat the whole Gelly Nail Paint range lasts around 3-5 days with no chipping. Result! The normal Barry M Nail Paints are £2.99 and the Gelly polishes are £3.99.

I highly recommend these polishes to anyone and I am already planning my next nail polish excursion as we speak!

Thanks for reading,
