Chamilia Silver Charm Bracelet

Hi everyone,

I absolutely love simple silver jewellery so this bracelet is perfect for me. I bought it from H.Samuel along with most of the charms.

I purchased the 17cm sized bracelet as I have very small wrists. It fits perfectly and still moves about nicely even with the charms on.

Here I have the Sterling Silver Buddha Bead which retails for £25. There is also the Sterling Silver and Murano Glass Bead which is £38. Then I have the Sterling Silver Yoga Frog which is £20. Next is the Sterling Silver Cell Phone Bead which is £30. I purchased all of these from H.Samuel.

Here I have some charms from Warren James. Firstly I have a lock and key dropper charm which was a gift from my mum, I'm not sure what this retails for as I can't find it on the Warren James website. Next is a Sterling Silver 16 Dropper Charm which is £12, this was also a gift from my mum a couple of years ago. Then I have a Sterling Silver Yin and Yang charm, I cannot remember how much this was and it does not feature on the Warren James website.

Finally I have a Sterling Silver Dog Charm which I have to symbolise my beautiful dog Molly, this retails for £12 from Warren James. Then I have the Sterling Silver Cat Charm for my gorgeous cat Misty, this charm is £14 also from Warren James. Next I have a Sterling Silver Ghost Charm which I can't find the price for but I believe it was between £12 - £14 from Warren James. Lastly is a Pink And White Swirl Charm which I purchased on sale after Christmas from H.Samuel for £7.50! I absolutely love this bracelet as a lot of the charms mean a great deal to me and have very strong personal meaning. This is one of the reasons I rarely go anywhere without this on my wrist! The actual bracelet on its own retails for £55 from H.samuel and is the same, if not better, quality than Pandora bracelets!

Primark Shoe Bargain

Hi everyone,

When on a shopping trip in Doncaster a couple of weeks ago, we stumbled into Primark (completely by accident of course)! Needless to say the end result was heavy baskets but low price tags. Both my friend and I picked up some of these shoes I'm about to show. In fact she bought two pairs but I managed to restrain myself and just get one!

First of all I will tell you the best bit about these pumps...They were £3! I got them in mint green but they're available in every pastel colour you can think of. I also saw them in a floral pattern, plain red and an Aztec print. I will also mention that I got these in a size 3 and they run very true to size. I find them extremely comfortable to wear and they feel very sturdy. Definitely pop into your local Primark if you're passing and check these out!

Barry M Gelly Nail Paint - Lychee

Hi everyone,

Today I've got a review of the Barry M Nail Paint in Lychee. I was a little sceptical when buying this polish as I know that nude nail polishes can make your hands look a little dead! I am however happy to report that that is not the case here.

As I mentioned in my last two Barry M reviews, I am not struck on the Barry M brushes at all. I go in to further detail HERE and HERE

As for the formula of this polish, I absolutely love it! I am a massive fan of the Barry M Gelly range and this one is no exception. It applies very smoothly and covers up any flaws in my nails. I will also mention, I only have one coat of polish on in these pictures as I find that sufficient. The shade is also very flattering and in my opinion, the perfect nude! If you want to read more about what I think of the Barry M Gelly Nail Paints, then HERE is my review of the Nail Paint in Blueberry. The Gelly Nail Paints retail for £3.99 in Boots and Superdrug.

Warren James Sterling Silver Yin and Yang Crystal Necklace

Hi everyone,

I've got a review of my favourite item of jewellery today. I bought this necklace as the Yin and Yang symbol means a great deal to me. I have been wearing it more or less everyday since its purchase last year and it still looks as good as new.

My lovely mum is modelling the necklace in these pictures. It comes with a sterling silver 18" curb chain and silver and crystal Yin and Yang pendant. It hits the chest in the perfect place, not to high and not to low. The photos really don't show the necklace in its most beautiful light. When it is on and it catches the daylight it shines and glistens in every direction. Every time I wear this necklace I get compliments and that really is down to the beauty and simplicity. I love simple jewellery and this necklace is everything I want and more. I recommend going into your nearest Warren James and seeing this in person. They also sell matching stud earrings. The necklace retails for £19.75 and the earrings for £13.95.

Hi everyone,

I've got something a bit different today! I thought I would put together a list of current offers buzzing around in the UK at the moment. I know I get annoyed if I just find out about offers the day after they've ended, so I thought I'd put them all in one place for one easy reading.

  • Superdrug also have various multibuy offers and money off on branded skincare as well as own brand skincare
  • Boots have 3 for 2 on all cosmetics within the brand, no mix and match. This includes Revlon, Collection, L'Oreal and 17 to name but a few.
  • Boots also have 3 for 2 on No7 skincare

The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector Review

Hi everyone,

I'm going to review a product that has helped me in a way no other hand cream has! I suffer from dermatitis flare-ups on my hands every now and then, particularly when the weather changes or I start using something new. It is very painful as even a drop of water can feel like my hands are on fire. As you can imagine, if water causes an irritation, than finding a hand cream that doesn't is a very hard task! It has also been a very painful task! I love the Soap and Glory Hand Food normally but when I have a flare up I find it excruciating to use. Whilst browsing around The Body Shop I asked one of the members of staff if I could have a sample of this cream. I explained that I suffer from dermatitis and everything I had tried made it worse and she was more then happy to give me a sample to avoid more money wastage! This is why I love The Body Shop, try before you buy! And in the end I did buy as I was thoroughly impressed.

So off home I went, with my sample in hand and optimism in mind! The smell of this product is definitely a unique one that grows on you. It smells very earthy and natural, which is probably why it works so well for me! It doesn't irritate my skin at all and I even feel like if I apply it regularly enough, it helps clear up the dermatitis even quicker. When my hands are in a normal state, I apply this on dry, cracked hands before bed and by the morning they're baby soft. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who struggles with sensitive skin or is just looking for a brilliant hand cream that actually does the job at hand (pun thoroughly intended)! The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector retails for £5 for 30ml or £10 for 100ml.

See you for the next post,

Maybelline Forever Strong Pro Nail Polish Review - Green Miracle

Hi everyone,

I thought I'd review something that I haven't seen much of in the blogging world! The Maybelline Forever Strong Pro nail polish. I'v seen a few reviews scattered around but nothing on this particular colour.

I have the polish in the colour 720 Green miracle. Firstly I absolutely love the brush on this polish! It coats the nail easily in 2-3 easy swipes. It also picks up the perfect amount of polish so you don't get any 'glooping' on the nail. The length of the brush handle is also very comfortable to handle and use without smudging and knocking your other nails.

I love the colour of this polish as it is unlike anything I own. It's a lovely emerald green colour with lots of green shimmer running through it. I will also mention that the shimmer isn't gritty at all and provides no problems whatsoever when removing. It claims to provide 'up to 7 days wear' and also contains 'calcium, iron and silica'. It does do well in terms of wear but I wouldn't say 7 days, maybe 4-5. I usually have 2 coats of this polish on but in these photos I only have 1 and the coverage is brilliant! As for the calcium, iron and silica ingredients, I can't say I've noticed a massive difference in the condition of my nails. I feel that for problems like weak, splitting or flaking nails then a targeted treatment product is more helpful. Nevertheless I don't feel this detracts from the polish and can't be a bad thing in the long run! I definitely recommend having a look at this polish in real life as the pictures here really do not do it justice! Due to the fact I love the brush so much, which is one of the most important things for me, I will be purchasing more of the Maybelline Forever Strong polishes. These retail for £4.09 at Boots and Superdrug.

Cya for the next post,

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Review

Hi everyone,

Today I finally have my updated review of the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation! I've been looking forward to doing this post for weeks and now it is finally here! I'll start by giving a bit of background information on my skin. I have very acne prone, sensitive skin and also suffer from quite a bit of acne scarring. I usually have 2+ active spots on a daily basis, which is a massive improvement on the previous state of my skin. I started getting spots at the age of 13 and it steadily progressed to becoming moderate - severe acne within a few months. Since then I have constantly had spots and scarring, not to mention numerous different antibiotics. I am finally in a position to say, whilst I'm still incredibly self-concious of my skin, I do feel comfortable in it most of the time! So on with the review!

I absolutely love the packaging of this foundation. It's so sleek and also brilliant for dispensing the perfect amount of product. The smell of this foundation is gorgeous and reminds me of the Chanel skincare products. It's a very clean and fresh scent which even my sensitive skin doesn't mind.

This is my skin with nothing on except my moisturiser. As you can see I have some active breakouts, particularly around my chin and jaw area. My scars are slowly fading and with this I am very much enjoying using less heavy duty products. I do have a full coverage routine using a MAC foundation which I love on more spotty days!

These pictures are with just the foundation and no concealer or powder or anything else. I used a pea sized blob on each part of my face to get more coverage without having to put more than one layer on. I never layer my foundation as I find any foundation goes cakey on my skin, I instead use concealer on top. As you can see it covers most of the redness in my skin apart from the odd pesky scar! I applied this foundation with my F60 Sigma brush, working on one part of my face at a time. As I'm sure you have heard you have to thoroughly shake this foundation before you apply it otherwise it will be very watery and separated. The application is absolutely faultless! The foundation spreads around the skin like a creamy moisturiser and on me settles to a slightly dewy finish.

This is the look with concealer in some areas to cover up any prominent scars. This foundation for me does miracles. Even though some scars still show through it manages to totally deflect any unflattering light away from them! It definitely draws attention to the nice, clear skin on your face rather than the flaws. The concealer I use is the Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation. I find this product to be too heavy for all over my face but as a pinpointing concealer it is perfect. I used just under a pea sized amount of concealer.

And finally this is my full face of make-up! I have powdered my skin with Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder and added some Collection (2000) Shimmer Shades blush. I am absolutely thrilled with the final look and considering how my skin looks completely make-up-less the final result is flawless! I put off buying this foundation for so long as I always assumed you had to have perfect skin to start with but I'm happy to report that you don't! This foundation retails for £32 for 30ml of product.

Barry M Nail Paint Review - Lemon Ice Cream

Hi Everyone,

So my obsession with nail polish continues.....Today I've got a review of Barry M Nail Paint in Lemon Ice Cream. Firstly let me just say the name sounds a lot nicer than the actual product is! I imagined this nail polish to be a lovely pastel yellow, as it appears in the bottle, but in actuality it's a not very appealing sickly yellow.

As I have said in previous posts, I really am not a massive fan of the Barry M brushes. This particular point is intensified for me in this polish. You either have way to much product on the brush and therefore on your nail, or not enough to cover a whole nail evenly. I have two coats of this polish on and in natural daylight you can still see the natural tips of my nails. Also in daylight the colour is very sickly and not a very nice yellow at all. I'm thoroughly disappointed in this polish and strongly recommend that if you are in the market for a pastel yellow nail polish you pass up on this one. I normally absolutely love Barry M polishes (brush aside), but I really do not get on with this one unfortunately. This polish retails for £2.99 from Boots and Superdrug.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner Review

Hi Everyone,

I bought these eyeliners when they first came out and have been using them nearly everyday since. I love the two colours I got as they are perfect for what I need them for.

I bought these in the shades 005 Nude and 012 Bronze. I use the Nude shade to line my waterline and Bronze to line my lower lash line as I don't wear black eyeliner. These both glide on smoothly and I don't find them to slip or slide during the day. I think when my Lancome black eyeliner runs out I will be buying the black version of this pencil to line my tightline, which is my only use for black kohl/kajal pencils! If you're near a Boots or Superdrug than I definitely recommend going in and having a little swatch session at the Rimmel stand!

Cya soon,

Sophie X
